Arthur Blank announced today that Jim Mora was released from the last two years of his contract as coach of the Atlanta Falcons. Arthur Blank felt that, while it was a difficult decision, it was necessary for the long term good of the team. He was hoping to have Jim Mora for the long term, but felt that this decision was for the best. Blank wishes Jim Mora and his family all the best.

Not that much of a surprise to me. But I don't know if Vick is the guy that can take this team to the Superbowl under any coach.

I think Vick wasted his prime years with the wrong coach. they never should have fired Dan Reeves. Mora trying to make Vick run that West Coast offense made no sense. I'd be surprised if Mora got another head coaching job.

I concur. Vick just doesn't have the ability as a quarterback to lead the offense productively. They'd be better off with Matt Schuab in my opinion until they can draft someone. Let Vick be a WR/RB who can play quarterback in certain 3rd down situations.
