Oh ye of little faith...you both can't possibly be talking about Matt Schaub...he of the lifetime 52% completion percentage...why Nuke my man, that's even lower than Eli (gasp!)...in over 160 lifetime passes his rating sits at a lowly 69%...these are very productive stats...his receivers are surely catching a lot of passes for him...you guys crack me up...

This clown (Vick) is a cancer on the team. Every year it is something different - the alias "Joe Mexico" - the flying fingers - and now this. He is truely to dumb to lead this team and a joke in the city I call home.

ATLANTA (AP) - For the third time in nine months, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick is making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Falcons owner Arthur Blank, general manager Rich McKay and new coach Bobby Petrino met with Vick, who left team headquarters without speaking to reporters. McKay described Blank as being "upset" with the quarterback, whose $137 million contract was richest in the NFL when Vick signed it three years ago.

"We are an organization that prides itself on not having off-the-field issues," McKay said. "I think we have done a pretty good job of bringing the right people in here so we don't have to face these types of issues. We don't like it. We don't accept it. It is not what we want."

Last April, Vick settled a lawsuit filed by a woman who claimed the player knowingly gave her herpes. In November, Vick made an obscene gesture toward Atlanta fans who heckled the team as it came off the field after a 31-13 loss to New Orleans. Vick apologized profusely, paid a $10,000 team fine and donated another $10,000 to charity.

right about what? You think the falcons are better without him? off the field maybe but on the field, umm no, vicks a punk and I dont care for him but that doesnt mean he doesnt have talent, the falcons will not be better without him, not this year anyway, joey harrington is not the anwser..A scrambling qb will win the super bowl, hence vince young..the future is bright for this one..and unlike vick, vy has his head on straight..

Amen to that.

I'm glad Vick is gone (skills or not) and the losses are not all Harringtons fault. The Falcons are just not very good right now. Do I think they will turn it around - not really - but they will play better as the season moves forward. I also expect the starting lineup and roster will change weekly.

The bottom line about the Falcons is that they wasted Vick's best years by implementing that dopey West Coast offense.

That's like having a team of 5 guards on the floor in hoops, and constatly trying to feed the ball to them in the low post.
