Hmmm...that's a good way to lose your QB... I remember when teams had a stable of runners.

Vick had four carries for 32 yards and completed 9 of 18 passes for 109 yards with two interceptions.

that pretty much makes my case doesnt it ?

sure he set a record for season rushing yards by a QB, but does it matter if they dont make the playoffs ?

If that doesn't do it, then how about this? Vick, before his injury, completed 57% of his passes for 81 yards and a TD; Schaub came in and completed 71% of his passes for 175 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. Schaub also led Atlanta to more points (10 vs. 7) while he was in the game. And this was without taking snaps in practice! Vick may be the better athlete, but Schaub gives this team a better chance to win.

Re: Better Off Without Vick

maybe the Falcons new coach will see that they need a QB at QB and not some triathlete like Vick

seems Vick thinks he is Manning and LT all wrapped into one..........when he isnt near as good as either

seems i may be onto something

Report: Falcons not necessarily married to Vick
Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports the Atlanta Falcons have told candidates for the Falcons head coaching job they are not necessarily married to Vick and the new head coach will determine if Vick is the Falcons quarterback for the long term.

Vick embarrassed the Falcon organization in November when he made an obscene gesture to fans after a 31-13 loss to the Saints. He apologized afterward, explaining his actions were out of frustration.
Vick was thought to be an untouchable in the Falcon’s organization so the aforementioned comments come as somewhat of a surprise. Vick has been the face of the franchise since being drafted as the number one overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft.

so HA!

Well on the plus side this is better than cheerleading for E. Manning and TO. Vick is better than those 2 losers...but not much.

Like I said before...baby stepping...you'll get there...and while not as robust as Eli, a bit more durable than Chad I might add...

Re: Better Off Without Vick

Vick is exciting - he is also never going to take this team or any other to the Super Bowl.

He has been in the league 6 years and still cannot handle an audible package. The Falcons HAVE NO AUDIBLES if you can believe that. When questioned about it Vick said they hadn't put them in yet guess that will come in the next 6 years

Someone posted earlier about the teams that would jump on Vick - I say name them. Oakland possibly

Vick can't audible? That is terrible after 6 years. I don't think anyone thinks Vick can take them to the SuperBowl or trade offers would already be flying because I don't think the Falcons are overly happy with Vick.

Re: Better Off Without Vick

Let's see... Vick to Oakland for the #1 pick seems like a natural deal to me. Dolphins probably could use a QB, but they're kind of saddled with Daunte's contract right now. Houston sounds like they want to dump David Carr, so he could be a possible destination. The problem with anyone but Oakland is, do they have enough to offer in return for Vick?

Minnesota, Cleveland, Washington, Chicago (Grossman is a first rate loser, who owes his job to the defense), Detroit (Kitna's 22 picks and 63 sacks is not the answer), Tampa Bay, possibly Miami...

I hope we have all the phone numbers

Seriously - all we hear is how bad our recievers are - yet they catch the balls thrown by Staub. (check the stats)

No doubt Vick is fun to watch – just like a squirrel in the road – darting to and fro before magically darting to safety – problem is squirrels don’t win Super Bowls.

GDK I think this guy has got your #! I think you need another ROBUST or one of these to distract him http://tcal.net/wp-content/uploads/2...trasource.jpeg. JRL seems to be the football champ on this site.
