I love it when people say Vinatieri was the sole reason responsible for Pats dynasty thus making them a not so great team and Bill Belichik "lucky." Who put him in position to kick those field goals? Who stopped crucial 3rd downs and got turnovers? Who threw touchdown and other crucial passes to extend a drive? Who made a key block to save a sack? All those are just as important as AV's foot but they dont get the publicity. And they say Belichick would be Dan Reeves without Vinatieri too. So what was Belichik supposed to do? Kick the field goals himself? Put in the second string kicker to prove his greatness? You mean a dynasty needs great players in every aspect (including special teams) to BECOME a dynasty? They cant do it with a bunch of mediocre players??? MY GOD!!! This can't be!

Re: Better Off Without Vick

I dont believe I said Bellichick was luck at any point, and your kicker did win you those crucial games. In Buffalo the team did everything for Scott Norwood in the Bills first Super Bowl but he missed the kick. Who would be calling the Patriots a dynasty if he missed the crucial kicks in the playoffs and Super Bowl? Errrr no one because they wouldnt have gotten there

The title of this post is absolutely the truth. Atlanta will never win anything with Vick.

Cool Re: Better Off Without Vick

I think the Falcons would be better off without Jim Mora, who has wasted Michael Vick's prime years trying to run an offense that is not suited for Vick's capablities.

Re: Better Off Without Vick

The Falcons would crumble without Vick. He should not be restricted from running. Mora is finally letting him this year. When you have a quarterback that can throw the ball or run for the first down, he is deadly. 2 years ago, he took them to the NFC Championship game. Last year they had some problems in coaching and other players and things. But Vick is a tremendous athlete that I believe will take them all the way sooner or later.

Four TDs against the Steeler D should put this thread to rest...

hold your horses my Super Hero friend

i have no trouble giving credit where it is due

Vick played a great game........but he needs to be able to string together 3 of them to be the QB of choice

not 3 great passing games in a row, but 3 good ones would be nice

now admit you cant judge a player off one game good or bad

He has great speed. He can outrun the secondary in a heartbeat. His o-line blocks for him whenevwer he run so that disables the linebackers and d-line. He is an elite player. I don't know how he can shake up the defenders. he is like butter he slides right through.

He is just a playmaker, no questions about it. Keep RUNNING Michael Vick.

im not ready just yet

though, i am ready to change my opinion slightly

they are clearly better off with this Vick then the always scrambling Vick

i must say i am thrilled for him and the team if he has truly adapted this style

the rest of the NFL should fear him

now as for me saying uncle to my big brother GDK--- things we obviously not working with Vicks scramble style, and i honestly didnt think he could play the way he has the past 2 games

so, in a way i think im not the one saying uncle Vick is
