Yes, THAT Morten Andersen - the 46-year-old placekicker who is the NFL's #2 all-time leading scorer. The dude hasn't played since 2004, and will become the second oldest player in NFL history. Punter Michael Koenen had been handling kicking duties, but is just 2 for 8 on field goal attempts this season. Andersen may be older than dirt, but he's got to be able to do better than that, right?

Morten Anderson will do the job fine. Kickers don't get tackled that often and have an easy career as long as they kick the balls far enough. My friend who plays soccer was an extremely accurate field goal kicker and also a reliable reciever. That figures why he was always drafted first on the playground.

why make this move, there are so many young kickers you could sign, i doubt ill see anderson make a fg longer then 40 yards

No, this isn't a rerun - the Falcons have signed Andersen, again, to kick in 2007.
