Braves pitcher John Smoltz said he's having season-ending surgery on his right shoulder today, but emphasized he doesn't plan on retiring as a result.

im voting yes, but im being hopeful, Its gotta be hard to rehab after several injuries in his career especially at his age..

if he does retire though, hes no doubt in my mind in the HOF..

I think he's done, young pitchers have trouble coming back from shoulder problems, Smoltz is 40 something. If he does come back it won't be as a starter.
