WHEN it comes to steroids, John Rocker - the big-mouthed former At lanta Braves pitcher who once com plained about the multicultural diver sity on the No. 7 train - has a "don't ask, don't tell" policy. In a recent interview for Steppin' Out, Rocker, who was named in the Mitchell Report list as a user, blasted Jose Canseco for ratting out former teammates in his tell-all book. "Baseball has been very good to me, and it's been very good to Jose Canseco," Rocker said. "Even if he had a problem with certain individuals, he had no right trashing somebody's reputation and family." Rocker also said Barry Bonds should be allowed to keep his records "unless you can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that no previous record holders did anything to cheat."

If he is on the list, they are gonna talk to him and get a story...he is no different than say Britney or Paris Hilton...the press loves a story...and for better or worse put them on the spotlight...and we, as a nation consume it all...just like we are doing now commenting on Rocker...so are we really any better? If we really had taste, good sense, and a higher standard, maybe the thread would stop right here or there would not be a thread...but there is...so I am left to guess we like having the John Rockers of the world.
