Andruw Jones picked up the slack last year w/ Chipper Jones being injured. With Jones back on the IR, does Andruw have what it takes to carry the team again? He's doing it so far, hitting 2 hrs and batting in 4 in a win over the mets tonight.

Yeah, I think he's definitely hit his stride at the plate at this point in his career. Andruw has become a complete player, and I for one don't see any reason to believe that he can't be a 40 HR guy year in and year out. Which I love, by the way, because for the second straight season he's on my fantasy team.

I wouldn't say Andruw Jones is a complete player, he still strikes out way too much and his BA is always pretty low. With that said, I'd take him on my team any day of the week and 2x on Sunday. He's unlike anything our generation as seen in CF. His power has definitely picked up and he should see a minimum of 40-45+ HRs in 2006.

Well, he is hitting .322 so far this year, but you're right - his career .268 average is a little low. Right now, though, Andruw leads the team in HR, RBI, runs and stolen bases, plus he's a defensive wizard. If he's not a complete player, he's awful darn close.
