Tough day?...duh...4 IP 8 hits 8 runs 6 ER 0 K's...threw only 82 pitches...At least Renteria is hitting...not much comfort in that...but its worth noting...

He's gone from one of the best pitchers in the game to a serviceable #2. What's with all of the "Big 3" Oakland pitchers? Mulder had trouble last year, Zito is falling faster than gravity can help and Hudson is not doing much better.

Zito had one bad start and one good start this year. Sure, he got rocked for 7 runs in 1 1/3 of an inning against the Yanks in the opener, but he tossed six scoreless innings and fanned six in a win over Seattle a couple of days ago. Not sure I'd say he's "falling faster than gravity can help" just yet.

3 starts people...the benchmark is 3 starts and evaluate....these guys are still elite pitchers....though the words "Elite pitchers" don't mean much these days...BTW, Zito only gave up 1 hit his second start...

For fantasy managers, this may a be a good time to try to trade for Hudson -while people are down on him.
