| Braves scoreless streak According to the Associated Press, "Kenny Rogers... allowed only two hits in six innings to lead the Detroit Tigers past the punchless Atlanta Braves 5-0 on Friday night... The Braves have been shut out in three straight games for the first time since 1988." Atlanta has not scored in 28 innings. What the heck's up with their offense?

| Re: Braves scoreless streak I have no idea, granted they faced a tough tigers team this last series, but still our offense has been horrible, I hope they fiqure something out quick..Its getting mighty depressing seeing them lose each game..Another question is where the hell is andruw, hes got the second lowest era in the mlb..for a contract year he hasnt stepped up and showed why he should be payed the big bills.. |

During the last 5 games: Andruw Jones :1-12 (.083) Jeff Francoeur: 2-13 (.154) Chipper Jones: 3-13 (.231) Edgar Renteria: 4-17 (.235) Brian McCann: 0-14 (.000) Over the last five days, this group has driven in one run (Chipper Jones' solo HR). |

| Re: Braves scoreless streak Well, not only is the scoreless streak FINALLY over, but the losing streak is as well. The Braves beat Washington 4-1 yesterday. According to the AP, "Brian McCann... snapped a career-worst 0-for-16 streak with a run-scoring single that gave the Braves their first lead in a week, and he added a three-run homer to lift Atlanta to a 4-1 victory over the Washington Nationals on Monday night." So are the Braves out of their skid, or is there still cause for concern that McCann was responsible for driving in all four Atlanta runs? |

| Re: Braves scoreless streak The Braves aren't out of the woods yet - one decent game does not necessarily end a cold streak. JS needs to do some dealing - Andruw? Salty? Salty is strong trade bait, but I wonder how many teams would want Andruw right now.... |

| Re: Braves scoreless streak andruw has already said whatever happens hes finishing the season out, its his decision whether he wants to be traded or not. As far as salty goes, if we do deal him we better get a very good player or players for him, hes a great player who will be a star for any club, Iagree last nights game doesnt make it all better but its a starting point, were def not out of the race, The offense will come, my main worry is our rotation, after smoltz and hudson its a coin flip between james, davies, carlyle. I was hoping we would make a trade foe buerhle but the chi-sox are wanting ridicolous money for a half year contract.. |
