Bad break for the Atlanta Braves - starting pitcher Tim Hudson was injured in yesterday's game against the Cubs. According to the Associated Press, "Hudson left the game in the third inning after he was hit on his left leg by Jacque Jones' sharply hit grounder. The right-hander limped slightly as he walked off the field with a bruised leg. X-rays were negative... Hudson's leg was swollen, but with the help of an extra off day this week, he said he doesn't expect to miss a start."

You know it's a shame that this day and age money breaks up dynasties before they form...

Where would the A's be now if they were able to keep a rotation of Hudson, Zito, Mulder, Harden and Street as a reliever, along with Tejadas at short etc...total shame...off the topic? sure...but I worked Hudson in there...
