The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports on the Braves-Mets chase of LHP Tom Glavine.

It looks like the big decision will be made by the end of the weekend with some thoughts being Glavine could make a decision as soon as Friday.

Glavine's agent told the AJC he has not heard from the Braves since earlier in the week and has not begun contract negotiations. So in that helm, it seems like Glavine may be leaning towards the Mets who everyone knows will offer more money and the guaranteed no-trade clause.

We'll find out tomorrow and over the weekend I guess.

Since Glavine lives in Atlanta, he has to be leaning in this direction. But the Mets will probably offer him $4 million more then the Braves will, plus a longer contract.

It'll be interesting to see which way he goes...

It's been said that for the Braves to have enough money for Glavine, they would need to drop some payroll in the form of trading Tim Hudson away. I doubt they're able to do that.
