Tailback Darren McFadden, the University of Arkansas star runner who finished as the Heisman Trophy runner-up in each of the past two seasons, will forego his final season of college eligibility and enter the 2008 NFL draft, ESPN.com has learned.

Multiple sources said McFadden's father, Graylon McFadden, dispatched the appropriate paperwork to the NFL office early this week. The decision by one of the college game's most electrifying performers to leave school a year early and pursue a professional career was hardly unexpected.

As flooded as the RB position entering the NFL a starter could go deeper than that.

McFadden will be the top pick, but not to the Dolphins someone will trade up to get him.

McFadden dad now is saying he did not send in the paper work...so I am not sure if he is in or not?

I think he would...there is nothing for him in college...save maybe a Hesiman, but why take the chance? He seems NFL ready now...

I hope he goes. I traded Marshawn Lynch for the first pick in next seasons fantasy draft. I was planning on taking him.

This is a deep draft for RB. This could be remembered as a year like 1984 for QBs with potential HoFers.

Might be the best thing for him, as deep as this draft is at the position.
