No—just one good enough to make the occasional stop against weak Big East competition.
When the Cardinals played WVU the score was up near the 50s on both sides. Is that a sign of great offense or bad defense?
BOTH.

2. The Big East looks much stronger now than it did just a few years ago.

Today, the Big East is college football's new hot conference, with Cincinnati and USF emerging as powerhouses and even UConn and Pitt on the rise.
When Petrino was at Lousiville, though, those up-and-comers were still floundering. The point: The coach never excelled against tough competition.

The man is an offense genius, I'll give him that... but the thing is, if you don't have a defense to go with it, your screwed. Look at it from Colts view. They relied on Manning and the offense to throw up massive numbers to win games while the defense was lackluster. This happened for quite sometime. Whenever a team figured out how to stop that high-powered offense they were screwed. I can see this happenin quick with Petrino at Arkansas.

You only need to look at Florida - last year good offense + superb defense = Nation Championship. This year superb offense + average defense = Capitol One Bowl

All he needs to do is have a great defensive coordinator. He can handle the offense and turn control of the defense to somebody else.
