Football tucked in tightly, the Arkansas tailback exploded past the line of scrimmage, beyond the grip of a waiting defensive lineman. He juked past the outstretched arms of a linebacker and sped into the secondary, where the team’s last line of defense couldn’t prevent a touchdown.
It wasn’t Heisman Trophy front-runner Darren McFadden, whose ample talent has led to NFL talk before his junior season with the Razorbacks has officially begun. Nor was it Arkansas tailback Felix Jones, who possesses the speed and elusiveness that make him perfect for moonlighting as an All-America kick returner.
