Personally, I don't see it. Tuitama has been called "the most talented passer [the Wildcats] have had -- perhaps ever" by Street & Smith magazine. However, he's just a sophomore and a team that is projected to finish in the bottom half of the Pac-10. So I don't see any way Tuitama wins the Heisman this year, but do you think he has a shot a year or two down the road? |
First off, the people picking Arizona in the bottom half of the Pac10 must not pay any attention to Pac10 football. The Arizona defense has one of the top secondaries in the nation this year and has 2 five-star recruits from JCs joining their defensive line. Willie Tuitama is very talented and showed flashes of greatness last year as a freshman, but he isn't likely to contend for the heisman this year. Honestly, how many sophomores have ever won it? Down the road, who know? He has great size and a powerful arm, is able to scramble effectively and has shown toughness. Arizona should play in a bowl game this year and likely finishes around 4th or 5th in the Pac10.
