Arizona has proved they belong as they have advanced into the Sweet 16 as a result of their win over Cleveland State, and will face the winner of the Louisville-Siena game next Friday in Indianapolis!

As I correctly predicted, this is a good team, I thought if they could get in they could make noise, but I didn't think they'd get in, but they did and they are in the Sweet 16 just like I said

The hard part comes next...#1 seed Louisville will be a much tougher animal to conquer!

It turns out that Arizona is the only Pac 10 team still playing now!

I didn't predict that one, I also had Arizona State getting to the Sweet 16 because I concinved myself Syracuse would be tired from their 6 OT Battle with UConn and Another OT the next night with West Virginia. But I talked myself into that. But hey unlike the President I did respect the Pac-10

I really didn't expect Arizona to beat Louisville, but I sure didn't think the score would be so ugly. It was a dfficult year for Arizona with the sudden forced retirement of Hall of Fame Head Coach Lute Olson and the loss of every top recruit we had verbal agreements with. Next year could be the year we finally miss out on the NCAA Tournament due to lack of players, but if we get the right new hire as Head Coach from this point forward, our team could regain national stature very quickly. Thank you to interim Head Coach Russ Pennell who took over the program knowing he likely would be gone next year and made something positive out of a difficult year. Assistant Coach Mike Dunlap also put his stamp on this team and deserves our thanks as well. There are a lot of questions regarding Arizona's immediate future, the picture should become much clearer once the tournament is over.
