Re: Arizona / USC

I would be amazed if Arizona even competes in this game. The last 2 road games have resulted in 1st quarter deficits of 28-3 and 24-3. Mike Stoops is simply not a very good coach and needs to go back to join his big brother Bob. A 2-4 start with our toughest games still ahead of us dooms Arizona to yet another year of watching all the bowl games on TV.

No thinking that SC might be vulnerable, considering the loss to Stanford last week and the injury to Booty?

I'm sure Arizona will be watching film till they are sick of it but will know the Trojans weak points now that they have been exposed.

What many people don't realize is that Booty is NOT the best QB at USC, Mark Sanchez is. Had Sanchez not been injured in summer camp he would have been starting as a true freshman. He now is healthy and USC is likely to lift his redshirt now. Add to that the fact that USC has not lost consecutive games in 6 or 7 years, since Carroll's first year. Arizona will be faced with a tall order if they think they can compete with USC.

Re: Arizona / USC

Arizona had a solid effort for a change but it wasn't enough to beat the Trojans. USC wins it 20-13 behind the strength of their defense that completely eliminated any Arizona running game and also with the help of a key punt return to set up the final TD. RB Joe McKnight was the latest Trojan RB to step up and lead the team in rushing mostly because of a huge 65 yard run from deep in their own territory after an 83 yard Arizona punt pinned USC at the 1 yard line. Against most teams, Arizona played well enough to win today, but USC is not most teams. Arizona drops to 2-5 and is pretty much out of any bowl picture with Oregon and Arizona State still on the schedule as well as Washington and UCLA.
