Villanova-Arizona

My Arizona Wildcats came up just short today in a heartbreaking loss to Villanova. Congrats to Nova for winning a hard fought game and hitting what seemed like every 3-pointer they attempted at one time. I thought our guys would be able to pull this game out and am proud of the way they played. Arizona showed a lot of heart and kept fighting back when it looked like Nova was ready to pull away. Now it will take a few days to get interested in watching the rest of the games. I now have to say GO UCLA the rest of the way.

Re: Villanova-Arizona

I'm glad that Villanova won as well. I think it is interesting for all of the number one seeds to be in the Sweet 16. I don't think that this has ever happened before but I could be wrong. Villanova did a good job of putting the game away by playing tough D and nailing it at the line. I give a lot of credit to Arizona, they always play well in the tournament.

I hate to make your post about me, but again two parallel wildcats. Kentucky fought just as hard against the huskies, also coming up just a bit short.
I am proud of my team, it appeared they finally got things together and put up a good showing in their two NCAA games.
So at least you got a little revenge on Wisconson and Kentucky got back at UAB. It always feels good to knock out a team that took you out of the tourney in years past.
Speaking of which, I think we still owe your boys one from 97'. Of course that game decided a little more than a sweet 16 birth. Maybe we will get our chance in 07'.

Better yet, we should try and convince our schools to play a home and away series. What a thrill it would be to have Kentucky come to the old pueblo for a game. North Carolina will be here next year and the hype for that one is already building here. That game in 97 was a classic, took OT to knock off our rival Wildcats.
