| Re: Arizona at Washington This should really be a good game desertrat and going to try to listen to this game here up in Colorado via internet radio out of Washington which usually ignores copyright crap on internet radio. I remember before the season started you liked Foles way better than Matt Scott at QB. I believe you are right! I always liked Mike Stoops but cannot stand his brother at Oklahoma...LOL

| Re: Arizona at Washington Hey, I think this game is huge for both schools and Huskies have played very well at home this season. They had a very very tough loss at Notre Dame last week I thought they should have won. See how they bounce back against the Wildcats? |

| Re: Arizona at Washington Washington, Arizona again play pivotal Pac-10 game More miles separate Washington and Arizona — roughly 1,200 — than any other Pac-10 schools. But whenever the Huskies hit a turning point in their program they seem to run into the Wildcats, as they do again tonight when Arizona comes to town for a 7:15 p.m. game. In 1992, it was Arizona that snapped UW's 21-game winning streak, the beginning of the end of the Don James era. In 1998, it was Arizona winning a miraculous game on Ortege Jenkins' "Leap by the Lake" that helped doom Jim Lambright. In 2000, in the first game after the injury to Curtis Williams, it was Arizona that was the opponent, a game that proved to the Huskies it was all right to still play football and led the way to a Rose Bowl berth. Losses to Arizona in 2003 in Tucson and 2007 in Seattle were pivotal in derailing those seasons and, ultimately, the tenures of Keith Gilbertson and Tyrone Willingham. Huskies | Washington, Arizona again play pivotal Pac-10 game | Seattle Times Newspaper Hey, huge game for both schools to this point in the PAC 10 race. I think the loser will be looking at best the Holiday bowl but winner still has a decent shot at the PAC 10 title if they keep winning. This is a very tough call for me here and know our friend Desertrat will be pulling for the Wildcats. Fact of the matter is the game is being played at cold Husky Stadium where I have watched a few games in life and feel like the Huskies will have the advantage here. I am going with the Huskies here but AZ Wildcats definetely have a shot here! Anybody think the Wildcats can beat the Wildcats here? |

I have also been to a few games at Husky Stadium, I lived in the Seattle area from early 1994 to late 1998...almost 5 years. I went from there to Salem, Oregon where I lived until 2003 and went to games in Corvallis as well as Eugene. I have been to 9 Pac 10 stadiums in all, and 5 Big 12 stadiums as well as several bowl games. I like most of the teams in the Pac 10...but my lifelong favorite team is Nebraska.(Lived in Nebraska as a kid until age 12 before moving to Long Beach, Ca where I went to High School) I just happen to be working on my degree at Arizona, one class at a time around work. |

You know it is funny, I have never been to a bowl game but actually had two tickets to the 1993 Rose Bowl between Oregon vs Penn St. I was so sad that I could not get off work and didn't have the extra $500.00 back at that time for airfare/lodging. Went through a bad divorce that year which broke me. I was a season ticket holder to Oregon Duck football from 1985-2001. I was DAF member for 10 of those years. I find it very interesting that you lived in Seattle which gave you easy access to Husky Stadium which needs a facelift badly everybody tells me. I still think Husky stadium is in one of the most beautiful settings in college football. Now you are in AZ getting your degree which is awesome. I have been in Colorado now for almost 7 years but sure miss the Pacific NW where most of my family is. Nebraska Cornhuskers are my surprise team this year in the Big 12. I mean I think everybody thought they would be better this season but they are even better than I first thought. I would say at the halfway point now that I don't see anybody in the Big 12 North beating them. I will give them a shot against anybody they play in the Big 12 Championship game. Safe to say that the Cornhuskers are back? |
