Bad news for the Wildcats, their pre-season all-american TE Rob Gronkowski will not play again this week. He had practiced Monday and Tuesday but today he spent practice with the medical staff. He hasn't yet played in a game this year due to a lower back sprain that just doesn't seem to go away. The offense has struggled in part because of his absence.....when he is in the game the defense has to respect his deep threat ability but when he is out of the game Arizona's offense has struggled.

Worse news yet, Mike Stoops has announced TE Rob Gronkowski is now lost for the entire season. The lower back sprain has not improved over the last 6 weeks and he won't play a single down this year. He will likely receive a medical redshirt.

I hate he will miss this season but at least the NCAA granted him a medical red shirt. I just hope he recovers quickly enough to put in the conditioning and off season workouts to be ready for next year.
