Norm Chow and Arizona State

I've been hearing/reading some rumors that link Norm Chow (current offensive coordinator in the NFL for the Tennessee Titans) to a job with Arizona State. I've read some which say he'll have the head coaching gig while others say he could take the offensive coordinator gig.

I personally doubt he leaves the NFL but does anyone have any concrete info on Chow and Arizona State?

Re: Norm Chow and Arizona State

From everything he did at USC to what he's started to do with Tennessee and Vince Young, I think right now he is a bigger name than this. I think he will stay as coordinator, build a good reputation and try to take a head coaching job. Once he jumped to the NFL, I think he decided he didn't want a head coaching job in college.

If he's interviewing with an NFL team about a HC job, I don't think he's going to bring much leverage to the bargaining table. At a university, however, he'll get complete control, good money, and plenty of leeway.

With the right offer, he could become the Supreme Overlord of ASU, Miami or any other major program looking for a HC.

Re: Norm Chow and Arizona State

Sounds like the rumor is picking up steam for some odd reason. Could we see Chow head to ASU?

Re: Norm Chow and Arizona State

That would make an interesting development. Mike Stoops vs. Norm Chow in the desert.
Wasn't it Chow's offense at USC that destroyed Mike Stoops' defense at Oklahoma?
