| Arizona fading We are now a few games under .500. Not only that, the teams ahead of us are currently playing well. Does anyone think we can still win this division? I don't know about this year, but over the next few years we should be much improved and a serious contender for the division title. |

| Re: Arizona fading Welcome to the GoTeamsGo Fan Forum, tvolsfan. What is a Diamondbacks fan doing all the way in Ohio? Well, actually I'm a Dodgers fan living in Antartica so we are even. I hope you continue to enrich our MLB discussions in the future and good luck posting. If you have any problems, questions, concerns or even anything of that matter, feel free to send me a private message. I'm always available to answer your questions. The Diamondbacks have a great team for the future. Brandon Webb is a sensational pitcher and Orlando Hudson has gained himself a reputation since his days in Toronto. Their top prospect at short, Stephen Drew has the potential and so does top draft pick, Justin Upton. I know they lost Shawn Green recently which I thought was a bad move. Luis Gonzalez is going out the window but that Quentin kid is on the way up. As long as they keep the chains moving in the organization, I can see them contending as early as next year. |

| Re: Arizona fading Quote:
I used to live in Tennessee, but live in Ohio now. I am a fan of most Ohio and Tennessee teams. (Vols for all college sports, Titans for the NFL, and the Blue Jackets and Cavs in hockey, and basketball respectively) The only exception, is in fact the Diamondbacks. Tennessee doesn't have a baseball team, and I never liked the Reds or Indians, but the first team I really payed attention to was the Dbacks. I guess I just liked the players, which led me to liking the team even though they are all gone. (Johnson, Shilling, Womack, Spivey, Gonzo, Counsell, Bautista, Finley, Grace) Back to the contention, I think the trade to lose Shawn Green was for the future, because they wanted the new pitcher. I thought it was bad that we had to give them them money for it though. The young guys should carry them. Just remember i am a fan now, so in a few years you don't call me a bandwagoner. |

| Re: Arizona fading You seem to be pretty optimistic, tvolsfan. My friend lives in Ohio but he doesn't watch baseball. I wonder how he survives? I eat, drink and sleep baseball. I know that the Diamondbacks still have Gonzalez (who is like 40) and they might have Craig Counsell. I don't know the whereabouts of Mark Grace anymore! |

| Re: Arizona fading With today's loss to the Marlins, Arizona is now 9 games under .500, and the Diamondbacks have lost 14 of their last 17 games. They've dug themselves quite a whole here... do they have what it takes to rebound, or are they essentially done?

| Re: Arizona fading Done! They should pack their bags to go home and not embarrass themselves anymore. I think they are now suffering from a Shawn Green curse. They better get him back before they carry this losing streak into next season! |

| Re: Arizona fading Back to what, tvolsfan? I'm not sure if they will resume their struggles or suddenly become one of the finest baseball organizations in the league. Here is a possible solution:It is time to call up some of the talent from the minors! |
