The Arizona Diamondbacks have acquired P Jon Rauch from the Nationals for infielder Emilio Bonifacio.
According to Pa. Sportsticker, "At 6-11, Rauch, 29, is the tallest pitcher in major league history, surpassing the “Big Unit” by one inch. He went 4-2 with a 2.98 ERA and 17 saves in 48 appearances this season as the Nationals’ closer... Arizona closer Brandon Lyon has been inconsistent this year, blowing five of his 25 save opportunities, and has a 3.86 ERA. He gave up five runs on Sunday, when the Los Angeles Dodgers rallied for a 6-5 victory over the Diamondbacks." So is Rauch a good acquisition for the D-Backs?
