The Diamondbacks optioned SP Enrique Gonzalez back to triple A Tucson to make room for Terry Mulholland who was activated from the injured reserve list. Gonzalez pitched well in his two starts going 12 innings and registering an ERA of 2.25 and getting a win in his only decision. He also had 12 strikeouts and only walked two batters. Suddenly the DBacks have several quality starters waiting in the minors with Gonzalez and former Giants ace Russ Ortiz both putting up impressive numbers. Another roster move is expected as the DBacks will need a starter for wednsdays game with the Phillies. Could it be Russ Ortiz returning to the majors? For more go to:
