Latest reports say the Arizona Diamondbacks have offered free-agent pitcher Hiroki Kuroda a three-year deal worth about $27 million.
Kuroda is a free-agent from Japan. "There was a 50/50 split decision in Japan about who was better, him or Matsuzaka" according to one scout. "I could see him as a solid third starter in the major leagues," another scout said. "He's a 200-inning guy and he has a chance to win you 12 games."
Arizona has yet to hear back from Kiroda. However, they're not believed to be the favorites to land the 33-year old.
