The Arizona Diamondbacks will give free tickets next season to fans facing economic hardships, club officials announced Tuesday. Fans who qualify for the scholarship application process will be treated to all 2008 home games at no cost. "We are a part of this community and we want everyone to enjoy the games no matter what their economic status is," said President Derrick Hall. "This needs to be an experience available to everyone. If we can create an outlet for some of these fans to escape some hard times and daily troubles as they rearrange and improve their lives, we will enjoy perhaps our greatest victory that will never be counted for in the standings." -- Phoenix Business Journal
