The Arizona Diamondbacks have added veteran RP Bob Wickman to their pen.

According to the Associated Press, "The 38-year-old right-hander was released by the Atlanta Braves last month. He was 3-3 with a 3.92 ERA in 49 appearances this season. He had 20 saves in 26 appearances... Wickman joins a bullpen that has been one of the strengths of the surprising Diamondbacks, who led the NL West by one game entering play Friday." Good move, don't you think? He should really help out that bullpen.

Wickman is a decent pitcher, not sure why Atlanta cut him loose. I think he will help out in the bullpen down the stretch.

He was griping about being used in non-save situations and word is he was becoming a clubhouse cancer.
