With the Padres looking to dump P David Wells, rumor has it he could wind up playing for the Arizona Diamondbacks. According to Yahoo! Sports, the D-Backs "had interest in David Wells in the offseason before swinging a deal for Randy Johnson, and with Wells back on the market could be looking again." So, would that be a good move for Arizona? Or a huge mistake?

^lol......i think Boomers time has come and gone...its time for him to hang em up i think....He has really struggled this year......especially in his last couple outings...If im arizona im looking to stay away from Wells not sign him....even though i know this team needs starting pitching.

I would much rather have Wells than Byung-Hyun Kim. I'm not sure why they brought him back to Arizona where he is hated for almost costing Arizona the 2001 World Series. Joe Kennedy was another huge "why did they pick him up?" question for me. Yusmeiro Petit had stepped into the starting role and was doing well in my opinion. Amazingly, he was optioned back to Tucson and now the pitching staff, the strong point 2 weeks ago, has question marks. Why would any GM mess with a team that was winning games at the rate the DBacks were winning them? I just don't get it, and now it appears the magic of the previous 3-4 weeks may be gone thanks to the gaping hole in the rotation named Byung-Hyun Kim.

Sooner or later MLB teams are gonna wake up and realize that players this age (44) are 99% has beens looking to add another paycheck to their already bulging bank accounts. Seldom if ever do they end up offering anything positive to the teams overall stats.
