| Diamondbacks vs. Padres
Arizona very nearly swept the Padres this weekend, but alas, they couldn't manage enough run support for Brandon Webb on Sunday. According to the East Valley Tribune, "The Diamondbacks managed just one extra base hit and six hits overall as they fell 4-0 to the Padres before 30,343 at Chase Field. Even with the loss, the series had to be considered a success, especially after the team lost eight of nine heading into the All-Star break." Definitely a good start to the second half for Arizona, eh? |
