I think he will get hit hard again. This time he throws his back out for the season. Just a guess.

Good prediction, azrael. The Unit did indeed get shelled, throwing 70 pitches in three innings, allowing four runs (one unearned) on six hits with two strikeouts, two walks and a hit batter. "He wasn't as sharp as we've seen this year and his velocity went down in that (third) inning," Arizona manager Bob Melvin told reporters after the game. "Hopefully the next time the endurance will get better. He wasn't as sharp as we've seen but that's to be expected coming off the DL."

Added Johnson, "I missed my spots most of the time." That's not good.

At least he didn't throw his back out. I am having my doubt he will get to the 300 win mark now.

I think it's safe to say he won't win 16 more games this season. Does he have another year in him?

Yeah, this echoes my own line of thinking here. He just doesn't have enough left in the tank and his body's breaking down rapidly.

Maybe he can be like Clemens and not pitch until June for the next 3 years. I bet he can get 16 more that way.
