| Arizona pitching woes The Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitching has been struggling as of late. According to Doug Haller of the The Arizona Republic, "Starting pitching carried the Diamondbacks through the season's early months, keeping them near the top in the National League West. For a few stretches, the unit may have been baseball's best... [but] earlier this month, Arizona's starting rotation finished a 10-game stretch in which it compiled a 1.66 ERA in 70 2/3 innings. But that efficiency has faded the past two weeks. Since June 13, the rotation has allowed 34 runs in 42 2/3 innings, an ERA of 7.18."
So how do the D-Backs improve this struggling staff? Is it a matter of getting younger, more consistant, or just better? |
