Cardinals tradding Boldin?

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin may get his wish to be traded. Coach Ken Whisenhunt said Wednesday the team is willing to listen to offers.

Boldin has asked to be traded since last season after teammate Larry Fitzgerald received a four-year, $40 million contract. Boldin has two years remaining on the six-year, $33.99 million deal he signed in 2005. Though the team wants to give him an extension, the Cardinals aren't expected to give him a Fitzgerald-type deal.

Whisenhunt, speaking to Arizona reporters Wednesday, opened the door for the team to receive trade offers.

"Before the draft, you know there is going to be talk about Anquan and his situation and a trade," Whisenhunt said. "Since not a whole lot has changed with his contractual situation, we know that will come back. It would be foolish from out standpoint not to listen to those opportunities and see what actually exists. But I want to make the points -- our goal is to re-sign him to a long-term deal. That hasn't changed."

Re: Cardinals tradding Boldin?

Maybe he will end up in a Giants uniform. How's his attitude?

You guys are getting Braylon Edwards, he'll be an Eagle by draft day they have two firsts they can shop for him.

As far as his attitude I think it's overall good, he likes it in Arizona, but it's contract that's the issue. Which is funny because Warner and Fitzgerald both offered to take pay cuts for them to bring him back

They want him back. Another target for Warner and less coverage on Fitz.

I know they want him back, who doesn't want him back. But I don't think they want to pay him. Even though take a million or two off Warner and Fitzgerald's contracts I don't see how it'd be a problem. For some reason they don't want to do that.

He'll be an Eagle by draft day

Re: Cardinals tradding Boldin?

Gosh, I would have traded TO, Williams, Canty and who knows who else to get this guy.
Nothing wrong with his attitude. Its just that the Cards laid out way too much for Fitzgerald and didnt have enough for Boldin and its been a bee in his bonnet ever since.
I dont know why they didnt use the cuts that were offered to them by Fitz and Warner.

Re: Cardinals tradding Boldin?

They wont be the same team without him. They were all pass last year. He can be a primary receiver on a lot of teams.

That would be nice to see him in a Giants Uniform, but somehow i don't see it happening.

I don't see Giants giving up 1st or 2nd round draft picks to acquire him.

It looks like they might go for Braylon Edwards.

They will, I think they are just stretching it out to give up less than a second, but they would give up the second, but they are trying to make it less
