Cardinals slap franchise tag on LB Dansby
Cardinals named LB Karlos Dansby their franchise player.
Dansby, 26, hasn't played a full 16-game season yet, but is too talented and instrumental to Arizona's 3-4 defense for the team to let him walk. His one-year tender is worth $8.065 million. The Cards hope to sign Dansby long term before the July 15 deadline, and both sides have sounded amenable.
