Warner or Leinhart??

Kurt Warner had a good year as the quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals.
His passing rating of 89.8 was the best of any quarterback since the Cards moved from St. Louis 20 seasons ago.
He threw at least two touchdown passes in each of the last eight games, and he was doing it all with a torn ligament in his left elbow. Yet Warner, who has a year left on his contract, has not won the starting job for the Cardinals over Matt Leinart as the team heads into 2008.
That was the message from coach Ken Whisenhunt, who was asked directly if Leinart would be the starter next season.
“I don’t believe in a player losing his job because of injury, and that’s what happened with Matt,” Whisenhunt said.

Re: Warner or Leinhart??

Warner said he is well aware that Leinhart is the future of the team. Whisenhunt said they will evaluate both players.
Do you think Leinhart will get the start next year if both players are healthy??

"I don’t believe in a player losing his job because of injury, and that’s what happened with Matt," says the guy who did exactly that with Tommy Maddox. Anyway, it's got to be Leinart, if for not other reason than for Warner's age. Not to mention his immobility.

Re: Warner or Leinhart??

Leinart has to be the starter, they known what Warner is and he can't without that Rams' O-Line. Plus who do they have more wrapped up in?

Re: Warner or Leinhart??

why not just keep the better QB until his contract expires. hes what makes there team. He has lead the league in pass yards 2 or 3 weeks

Cool Re: Warner or Leinhart??

I don't know. I think the coach will play whoever gives him a better chance to win.

I'm not sold on Leinart, yet so we should just trust that the coaches will decide based on what they see in training camp.
