Re: Warner or Leinart? If they're smart, they'll start Warner and ease Leinart into it, especially if they don't drastically improve the o-line. You've got to keep your QB of the future healthy until the rest of the pieces are together, which may be as soon as 2007.

Dennis Greene has already said that Leinart is sitting the entire first year. They just paid Kurt Warner a lot of money also. I bet you if they knew that Leinart was going to be available for them to take that late, they never would have given Warner that kind of money.

Re: Warner or Leinart? In the 2004 NFL Season, Kurt Warner was the starting quarterback for the New York Giants. But midway through the season they handed the ball to Eli Manning to lead the way. I think the Arizona Cardinals will use the same procedure with (again) Warner and Leinart. Perhaps Warner could become Leinart's mentor?

Re: Warner or Leinart? The article in the previous post is from CardinalInsider.com, and the author says, "If Warner does manage to finish the season and the Cardinals do manage to make it to the playoffs, we will not have a situation like the one in San Diego. The primary reason for this is that Warner’s much too old to be a viable option for the future. A playoff season this year is significantly more important to the organization than getting Leinart reps this year... Leinart will start. He will be the quarterback of this franchise. The only question is when. The only answer is: as soon as Warner self-destructs."

Re: Warner or Leinart? Ok well that last post said it all. If the Cards want the best chance at the postseason start Warner. If they want their QB of the future to begin his education so hell be good sooner than start Leinhart. One thing though is that you cant have it both ways....Cards miss the playoffs with Leinhart starting.
