I was just wondering what Cardinal fans think of CB Darrell Hunter. He is from my hometown, high school, and we share the same alma mater , Miami University. I just wanted to know what you guys thought. I haven't followed him too much since he was drafted. Thanks.

I don't know a ton about Hunter, but here's what Scout.com had to say about the kid heading into last year's draft.

Pos: Outstanding athlete with terrific size\speed numbers. Strong at the point, physical throughout routes and runs with opponents anywhere on the field. Fluid backpedaling in reverse, flips his hips and loses nothing in transition. Works well with safeties and displays a burst of closing speed. Gets vertical and adjusts to defend the throw in mid-air.

Neg: Not instinctive, slow locating the pass and lacks top ball skills. Not physical in run defense and does not play to his size. Does a lot of face guarding, loses a sense of where he is on the field and does not display much timing.

Analysis: Flashing skill on occasion, Hunter physically grades out as a top 45 pick. Yet his play on film leaves a lot to be desired and will cause him to fall to the middle rounds next April. Needs a lot of work and patience yet his natural abilities

Yeah, that's pretty much what we saw at Miami. His speed is amazing, but it look like he took plays off at times. His soph and junior year in school were better than his senior as far as production. Is he getting a chance to play in AZ? Just wanted to know what the fans thought.
