Shipp could fly away from Cardinals
NorthJersey.com, NJ - Mar 1, 2007
The last time Marcel Shipp approached free agency, the Arizona Cardinals made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Shipp signed a four-year, $8 million contract extension toward the end of his second season with the team, an indication that the Cardinals' hierarchy considered Shipp their running back of the future. Little has happened as Shipp planned since then, though, and his sixth season with the franchise that signed him as a rookie free agent in 2001 might've been his last. The Paterson native expects to become an unrestricted free agent at midnight Friday, which would allow him to explore options throughout the league.

Re: Marcel Shipp free agent

He should leave. Arizona's got him buried behind Edge and Arrington, and he could make someone a quality #2 back, I think.

Re: Marcel Shipp free agent

He usually played well when given a chance. He should go somewhere else to see if he can start. He is older, but has not been used much. He should have a few miles left in him.
