| Arizona Cardinals Linebackers One name: Will Witherspoon.
Playing in a division where your team faces Shaun Alexander and now Stephen Jackson more than Marshall Faulk, twice, will give your linebackers some fits.
However, with plenty of cap room and a desperate need to help stop the run in Arizona, the Cardinals should persue linebacks Will Witherspoon.
He's 25, and has the speed to cover a few wide receivers as well. Also, he can blitz a little, too. But the main thing is this guy can hunt down a running back and catch him from sideline-to-sideline, forcing teams to focus on running up the middle.
With his addition, the Cardinals could cut down on a tie for the league high in 22 rushing touchdowns allowed. With that, teams would be forced to throw a little more against an average secondary. But, it would balance out the games and give the Cards a fighting chance. |
