Cards: $20 Million Cap Room

Well, with the meltdown surrounding the CBA and all the possible star players who will be cut before days end, its interesting to note that Arizona is reportedly more than $20 million under the salary cap. Does anyone expect them to make any big signings as a result of the current labor situation? Mike Anderson, perhaps?

Re: Cards: $20 Million Cap Room

I think rather than making 1 or 2 big signings they should make a few mid level signings. They are missing quite a few pieces and need a lot of improvement on the offensive line, the running game, and nearly all the defense. One or two players aren't going to put them over the top but a couple years of solid drafts and 5 or 6 good free agents they will be fighting for 2nd place in the NFC West which is a big step forward.

So maybe Chester Taylor instead of Anderson, then get some O-line help and one or two pieces to add to the defense? They definitely do need to do something to upgrade at RB, don't you think?

The Cards are going to give up on Arrington already??? Have they not learned from Thomas Jones?

Re: Cards: $20 Million Cap Room

Cards need help in the offensive line more than anywhere else. Their QB's are under fire every time they attempt to pass and they have absolutley no run game due to their RBs getting hit before they ever reach the line of scrimmage. #1 priority should be on the line and then try to add depth to the defense, in particular the secondary. I moved to Arizona 3 years ago and get stuck watching a lot of Cards games and these are the needs that jump out at me.

Re: Cards: $20 Million Cap Room

This organization is essentially The NFL equivalent of The Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks always have money under the cap and no one ever wants to play there. If The Cards ever make the playoffs it should be in the next few years while there division is down. Also, it is a sad day when Mike Anderson is considered a big name. Just how expendable are running backs?
