Former starting quarterback Jake Plummer won't have a chance -- at least at the start -- to face his former team for the first time. Plummer, who was benched after starting the first 11 games of the season, spent six years with Arizona before coming to Denver in 2003.
Instead, Cutler will make his third straight start Sunday. He is 27-of-51 for 331 yards with four touchdowns in two starts, but was sacked seven times, threw two interceptions and fumbled three times -- losing one.
The quarterback selected one spot ahead of Cutler in this year's draft at No. 10 will try to lead the Cardinals to their first three-game winning streak since the 2002 season.
Matt Leinart seems to have settled nicely into the starting role for Arizona over the past four games, completing more than 62 percent of his passes for 1,056 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions. He's been sacked only three times in that span.
Leinart threw for 232 yards and two TDs as the Cardinals held on for a 27-21 win over the NFC West-leading Seattle Seahawks last Sunday.
"All year we have felt like we can play with anybody if we just get our act together and play well together," Leinart said.
