| Cardinals resign Warner Today, the Arizona Cardinals signed QB Kurt Warner to a three-year contract extention, and announced that he would open training camp as the starter. This is a big mistake in my opinion.
Sure, he led the league with five 300-yard passing games and had the best QB rating for a Cardinal QB since Neil Lomax in 1988. But he's 34-years-old, stone-footed and injury-prone.
Josh McCown played 9 games and threw for 9 touchdowns, over 1,800 yards and had a passer rating of 74.9. I've got to figure if given the chance, he would do a fantastic job leading this team. He is, or at least should be, the future of this team at QB.
And when you're coming off a 5-11 season, the future is now. |
