Texans-Cardinals Preview
The
Arizona Cardinals were one of the highest-scoring teams in the NFL during their run to the Super Bowl last season, but they've been largely contained in 2009.
A repeat performance from the
Houston Texans defense could extend Arizona's offensive woes. The Cardinals look to reclaim last season's form Sunday when they host the Texans, coming off an encouraging defensive outing after a frustrating start to the season.
Arizona tied for third in the NFL with 26.7 points per game last season, riding a dynamic offense to its first division title in 33 years. The Cardinals were even more prolific in the playoffs, averaging 31.7 points before falling to Pittsburgh 27-23 in their first Super Bowl appearance.
Houston Texans vs. Arizona Cardinals - Preview - October 11, 2009 - ESPN You know, Matt Shaub and the Texan's offense has been on fire lately. Cardinals are coming off of a bye week and have Kurt Warner on some of my fantasy leagues. He has only had one decent game all year. They need to protect Warner so he has time to throw to his all star receivers. Cardinals also need to find a way to slow down an explosive offense from the Texans who are now starting to click. Most of the so called experts see a Cardinal victory...I consider this game a toss up. Anybody have a prediction on this game?
