Anaheim, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League Club (NHL) will participate in this season’s four-team round-robin 2006 Pacific Division Shootout Hockey Tournament with the Los Angeles Kings, Phoenix Coyotes and San Jose Sharks beginning Friday, September 8. The five-day event will be held at the Toyota Sports Center, the Kings official practice facility in El Segundo, Calif.

The tournament will run Sept. 8-12, and features two match-ups per night (the lone exception will be a practice day on Sept. 10). Each team will play four games, with the first three contests being played in a round-robin format. On-ice play will conclude with a third place game and a championship final on September 12.

Complete rosters and ticket information for the Fourth Annual Pacific Division Shootout will be announced next month, with at least 24 players per team scheduled to appear.

how much fun would that be - why don't we do that in the east? too serious? too fat?
I jujst nopticed, too, on the ducks site that they signed Travis Green in the summer. Good player, miss him in TO - there were cliques when he was here, seen as disruptive and they dealt him.
