Anaheim Ducks - Acquired defenseman Chris Pronger from the Edmonton Oilers for right wing Joffrey Lupul, defenseman Ladislav Smid, a 2007 first-round pick, a 2008 second-round pick and a conditional first-round pick.

Wow!...Pronger caused the Ducks a hefty sum...I am not so sure I would have given up that much for the prized Defender. Lupol their 1st rounder in 2002 was emerging and had 28 goals this past season. Smid was their 1st rounder in 2004...Then they threw in all those high draft picks...and Pronger is about to turn 32...anyone else think they over paid for him.

Me. He's working off the successful steam of the playoffs - let's see what he's got this year coming.
But where's the freakin pride in your team? i don't know where he finds the big morale push to get out and play his best. It's all about money and where's the nicest place to live. Hope the Ducks majorly suck and Edmonton rolls right over them.

See, that adds to it...you give out the equivalent of 3 first round picks and a 2nd, and get an aging player that is about to get a major payout and is busy keeping his wife happy...If I were the Ducks knowing he wants to get out of Edmonton...I would have offered a heck of a lot less.

We will see Kasey...I think they over paid...but if it nets them a title...it will be...
