Chris pronger has been suspened for game 4 because he elbowed a guy in the head

Yeah, there was no call during the game, but it was reviewed after. There's some anger too about the neil hit on McDonald. It too was an elbow to the head, it wasn't called and it also wasn't reviewed. What i think is wrong about this, is the NHL has said that the difference is McAmmond (who took the elbow from Pronger) was knocked out, fell to the ice and is "questionable" for game 4. McDonald skated away from neil's hit.
Um, that's called hypocrisy. maybe McDonald's made of sterner stuff. maybe McAmmond has a lower pain threshold.
First off, in situation like this, the team will always say the guy's questionable if it works for them. It's called leverage.
Second, a bad hit is a bad hit - review it. Most of all, blind refs - CALL IT.
Neil apparently skated over and said something to neidermayer after the pronger hit, to which neither is admitting what he really said. Because, as we all know, neil has a problem with anger and a problem with keeping his mouth shut.

yeah and instigation should be one of the harder penalties to receive ie 5 minutes.
Thing is, I think instigator has to happen immediately responding to a penalty. So you can wait and wait and then strike.
But the whole "McDonald is fine" excuse made by the NHL - that is so lame.
Who cares if he's fine? was it a penalty or not? 9 times out of ten, if it's neil, it's a dirty hit and it's retaliatory. that's what he's there for.
Except, all this talk and now all i can hope is, Hit him hard, Ducks, the next time he skates by, and try to get away with it.

IT was a bad call it wasn't intentional and Pronger is much taller. McCamond it was intentional and he is the same size as McDonald. Well at least we got through it.

I dont want to get on a bad start here since Im new and all, but blueandwhite you need to remove those Leaf goggles. You start out a post with just a few words of a guy that has been knocked out completely cold and finish it off with a complete novel of a Neil bash fest. How can that be commented on since that is mostly a Leafs-Sens hatred type of oppinion compared to an hockey fan point of view?

I would ask you to talk to some other fans around here regarding Neil before you start thinking it's just a leafs hate-on. Say, some Sabres fans maybe.
What i think is most important is a bad hit is a bad hit, whether some guy gets knocked out or skates away. The hit is the call, not the injury.
I didn't defend pronger either, though he is far and away a better player than someone like neil.

Cant argue with that. Pronger is an extremely good player, just makes bad decision. Players like Pronger, Tucker, Barnaby, Neil ( there`s more ) you hate to play against, but would love to have in your team.

Honestly, because of where i live (GTA) I don't get to see alot of the western teams play. I didn't realize pronger was such a physical player - until this post. I knew he was huge, i didn't know he made those kind of decisions, and still remains such a vital part of the play - whereas guys like neil (although i know he had a great scoring year), barnaby - they have a purpose and they serve it.
Tucker slowed down with the anger thing, and he started scoring more.
I don't remember Pronger smashing players when he was in Edmonton so much (although maybe they might have had a better chance last year if he had).
