Re: Alabama QB John Parker Wilson

He has still got to find some arm strength to throw a long ball, so that his receivers stop having to catch it from behind them, or are forced to run back to the ball, catch it at an ankle height or scoop it up from off the ground. Also, the boy needs to demonstrate some ability to score inside the 20. I'm still thinking that Sabin will indeed be finding himself someone else who fits his own mold of a winner...BIG, strong and with an arm that ZOOMS it! I think that JPW may be the backup before first snap of 2007...

Saban told the kid from Florida that he will have the opportunity to compete for the starting job beginng this upcoming season. Personally that's the way its supposed to be let the best player play.

Re: Alabama QB John Parker Wilson

Speaking of a few other successful QB recruits from my current state of residence here in Florida:

Tim Teboe (playing as true frosh) would have been good catch for Bama, for use under Sabin, and yet the Tide let him slip away to UF -- where he plays in the BIG GAME tomorrow night;

Also, who can believe the success of Riley Skinner (another true frosh from Florida) playing at once lowly Wake Forest?

Yes, I would like to see a QB controversy stirred at Bama under Sabin so that the best competitors gain their chance to play!!!!!!!!

Thumbs up Re: Alabama QB John Parker Wilson

I go to every Bama game and so far, I see a great quarter back in JPW! Of course, he has his ups and downs, but doesnt every good quarter back? I really can't wait to see what happens next year with the Tide! They are better than most expected this season! In actuality, we should be undefeated this season! I just hope that this two weeks off will give us an advantage against LSU, as they are gonna be the toughest team we have to face all year! I believe we can pull out the VICTORY!! ROLL TIDE ROLL
