Teams won't run wild on Alabama!

Defense wins championships

Kerry Murphy 6'5 325lbs
Terrance Cody 6'8 370lbs [and losing weight]
Michael Williams 6'6 240lbs
Brandon Lewis 6'3 260lbs
Damien Square 6'3 270lbs
Josh Chapman 6'1 300lbs
Lorenzo Washington 6'4 286lbs
Bobby Greenwood 6'5 267lbs
Brandon Deitrich 6'4 286lbs
Alfred McCullogh 6'2 317lbs
Luther Davis 6'4 275lbs
Nick Gentry 6'3 263lbs

This defensive line if they all stay healthy may very well be the best in the country. They have the ability to cause turnovers and draw double teams. The quarterbacks better know where they are going the moment the ball is snapped or it will get ugly. The running games may well be stopped in the trenches as well. Saban will use every player in his arsenal to create havoc. This year we have speed at Defensive Back to compliment the strength of the Defensive Line. This means more and different blitz packages.

that cracks me up to no end right there .... let him drop another 25 pounds or so and keep his strength and get a step quicker and he can be All-SEC at a minimum

If Cody is losing weight does that mean, he weighted more than 370 before this

Laugh all you want when he reaches optimum weight his speed increases and that can only benefit him. Think of it this way if a lineman out weighs you by 50lbs and he keeps leaning on you... the 1st quarter you can compensate... the 2nd quarter you get tired... the 3rd quarter you need help doubleteaming the guy... the 4th becomes lookout because you are exhausted. Not to mention that when you get help doubleteaming the guy you open up your QB to the blitz.

Bears think of this guy in Chicago terms "Referigerator Perry" he is the closest thing to a description except he is much much stronger than the Fridge was.
