TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama enters the 2008 NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional as the No. 1 seed in the tournament and the No. 3 national seed after winning the SEC Western Division Championship with a 25-3 SEC record and a 51-6 overall mark. The Crimson Tide opens the regional against Chattanooga at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. UA will be looking for its sixth NCAA Regional Championship and its fourth straight after capturing regional crowns in 2000, 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007. It is the sixth time in school history the Tide has been selected as a regional host with Alabama winning four of the previous five regionals at home.
