Tide softball gets No. 3 national seed
Alabama received an at-large bid to the NCAA softball tournament on Sunday and will host a regional next weekend.
The Tide is the No. 3 national seed, giving them the opportunity to play both a regional and super regional at home to clinch a berth in the Women's College World Series.
Alabama will play Chattanooga on Friday, then the winner will play the winner of Jacksonville State-Florida State on Saturday.
The championship round will be Sunday.
Alabama finished the season 51-6 and received its 10th straight NCAA Tournament bid.
